Marketing Internship

The goal of the marketing internship program is to help college students who are interested in marketing understand how a real-life marketing department functions, while they help TruShield with day-to-day marketing operations and learn the practicalities of marketing.

Potential Projects an Intern will work on:

1. Lead Nurturing Campaigns: Interns will learn how to develop a full lead nurturing campaign, taking someone from a visitor to a customer. This will include, but is not limited to:

  • Coming up with offers and content for the website
  • Developing CTAs, Landing pages, and Thank-you pages
  • Developing a conversion path, complete with different pieces of content for each stage of the buyer’s journey
  • Developing email campaigns to nurture leads through the funnel
  • Developing social media campaigns
  • Learning how and when to transition a lead over to sales
  • Learning how to continue to follow up with a lead even after they have been handed off to sales and/or become a customer

2. Events: Interns will learn how to execute a marketing event, either a webinar or a live event (or both), from start to finish, including but not limited to:

  • Developing the idea for the event
  • Mapping the outline for the event
  • Creating the schedule for the event
  • Coordinating with vendors and/or partners
  • Developing and executing email campaigns to promote the event
  • Developing and executing social media campaigns to promote the event
  • Learning how to conduct follow-up after the event
  • Learning what to do with leads gained from the event, including developing Lead Nurturing campaigns for them
  • Learning how to use the event as marketing collateral in the future

 

Requirements:

  • Student must be majoring in marketing or a related field
  • Student must be able to come and work in the TruShield office at least 2 days a week, from 9 AM – 5 PM EST
  • Student must send a resume along with writing samples and a cover letter explaining why they want to work in marketing and what value they can bring to TruShield
